A decade of Gravel Experiential has taken us to some truly jaw-dropping places. While we could list many more, in honor of our 10-year anniversary, we’ve narrowed it down to our Top 10.
We've been in ballrooms and boardrooms, tented lawns and urban rooftops and we know that the right venue doesn't just host an event — it becomes the event. The best spaces make guests forget they're at a "work thing" and just let them be present in the moment.
These 10 venues did exactly that. From a dreamy yurt in Utah to a members-only boat club in South Carolina, these are the spaces that stopped us mid-walkthrough and reminded us why venue selection is one of the most powerful decisions you can make for your event. These are not presented in order. We've ranked nothing because honestly, how could we? Each one earns its spot.

1. Covered Bridge at Southall | Franklin, TN
Dinner under a covered bridge on a warm Tennessee night, surrounded by nature with live country music drifting through the air. This one felt less like a corporate event and more like a dream you didn't want to wake up from. Southall's grounds are stunning in every direction, but this setting hit differently. When the food is incredible and the fireflies show up uninvited, you know you've nailed it.

2. 167 Events | Chicago, IL
A West Loop hidden gem with a skyline view that does not disappoint. A basketball court transformed into a disco ball-drenched dance club? Yes, please. 167 Events is the kind of space that does half the work for you — guests walk in and their jaws drop before the first drink is poured. We're still thinking about this one, and apparently so is everyone who attended.

3. Mountain Yurt at The Lodge at Blue Sky | Park City, UT
We've been to some beautiful places, but this one was in a category of its own. The dreamiest yurt you've ever seen, perched in the mountains with a front-row seat to a Utah sunset. Then the meteor shower showed up and the whole thing became almost unbelievable. Utah has a way of making every event feel otherworldly — this is proof.

4. Old Post Office Rooftop | Chicago, IL
The $800M renovation of a historical landmark makes a statement before you even step inside, but nothing fully prepares you for that rooftop. A labyrinth of lush gardens floating above one of America's great architectural cities — it's the kind of space that makes you want to slow down and take it all in. In a city filled with spectacular venues, this one still manages to surprise people who thought they'd seen it all.

5. The Tasting Room at Silver Oak | Oakville, CA
This is what incentive travel is supposed to feel like. Award-winning wines, world-class chefs, a vineyard stretching out in every direction, and a baby grand piano setting the mood. Our clients had worked incredibly hard to earn this trip, and Silver Oak delivered an experience worthy of every bit of that effort. The bar for "nice dinner" has been permanently relocated.

6. Riverside Lawn at The Dunlin, Auberge Collection | Kiawah Island, SC
We had the honor of hosting the very first corporate event at The Dunlin, Auberge Collection — and what a way to inaugurate a venue. The Riverside Lawn overlooking the water, a classic Low Country oyster roast, the kind of sunset that makes everyone go quiet for a moment. After a packed meeting agenda, this final night gave everyone the exhale they didn't know they needed. We'll be back.

7. Nelson Cottage at High West Distillery | Park City, UT
The cutest cottage in downtown Park City, a crackling fire, live music, and some of the best whiskey in the country courtesy of High West Distillery. The evening was supposed to wrap up by 10 — it did not. It turns out that when you combine great spirits with a magical setting, people discover talents they've been hiding. Several attendees revealed surprisingly impressive vocal abilities. No further details will be shared.

8. Powerhouse Park | Del Mar, CA
Just steps from L'Auberge del Mar, this oceanside spot turned a client dinner into something that felt like a high-end picnic by the sea. The Pacific at sunset, cool breeze, perfectly curated food and wine — sometimes the best approach is to let the location do the heavy lifting and get out of the way. This was one of those times.

9. Canoe Club at Montage Palmetto Bluff | Bluffton, SC
A members-only venue modeled after an old ship, completely surrounded by water, reserved exclusively for our group. This is the kind of access that makes clients feel genuinely special — because it is. A celebratory tasting dinner in a setting that doesn't even feel real. Palmetto Bluff is already one of the most beautiful properties in the South, and the Canoe Club is its crown jewel.

10. The Terrace at The Bowery Hotel | New York City, NY
Iconic doesn't begin to cover it. The Terrace at The Bowery has a presence that demands you meet it where it is — so we kept the decor intentionally spare and let the venue lead. Billowing clouds of baby's breath, a thousand flickering candles, and a holiday party that felt like it belonged in a film. Sometimes restraint is the boldest design choice you can make.
